The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has temporarily suspended 62 players for age fraud.

The most notable name included in the 62 players was “17-year-old” Wilfried Nathan Douala, who went viral during AFCON 2024 for a clip of him dancing.

However, Douala did not play in any matches during the tournament.

The consequences of the age fraud scandal are severe, with Douala facing a potentially lengthy ban from international competition.

Out of the 19 teams in the top tier of the Cameroonian championship, only 4 have not had potential violators identified.

Clubs have the right to provide the necessary documents and appeal the punishment within 72 hours.
